possui graduação em Engenharia de Minas pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1982) , especialização em Fotogrametria Aplicada a Engenharia pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1987) , especialização em Licenciatura Plena Para a Graduação de Professores pelo Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais (1991) , mestrado em Sensoriamento Remoto pelo Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (1996) , aperfeicoamento em 12 UN International Training Programme on Rem. S S pelo Organização das Nações Unidas (2002) , aperfeicoamento em Processamento Digital de imagens NOAA pela Deutsches Zentrum für Luft und Raumfart e.V. (2002) e aperfeicoamento pela Inter American Institute (2003) . Atualmente é Professor Adjunto 2 da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco e Professor Classe E-4 do Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Pernambuco. Tem experiência na área de Ecologia , com ênfase em Ecologia de Ecossistemas. Atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Solos, Desertificação, Geoprocessamento, sensoriamento remoto.
